A little bit of background: In the summer of 2001, I participated in the Sino-American Field School of Archaeology. I spent 4 weeks in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xi'an, and Beijing, China, learning about Chinese art and history and taking part in excavations of Han dynasty relics.
